Full name of work:Fugue in e minor
Composer:Bach, Johann Sebastian (1685-1750), German
Music category:Classical (baroque)
Instruments:Keyboard (piano in this file)
Name of file creator:Geoff Arrowsmith
e-mail address:moanerleaser "at" earthlink "dot" net
Running time:00:02:45
Comments:This early fugue has never been recorded as far as I know. I've
slightly and conservatively embellished the alto at the very end, otherwise
the notes are as printed. The voicing near the end is not clear from the
score, so I've distributed it in what seemed to me the least problematic way
(This makes no difference in the sound, only in the appearance.).
Source - Kalmus edition, 1946, Hans Bischoff - editor. From Bischoff's
notes - "This composition is a youthful work which is of definite interest in
tracing Bach's development. It was published for the first time in the
supplement to the Schumann periodical of Sept. 17, 1839."
