Comments:"Ever since Austrian organ-builder Karl Mauracher, provided some traveling folk singers with an arrangement of "Silent Night," the world has been singing the wrong melody. . ."

This arrangement is based on music downloaded from the "stillenacht" website which is a virtual museum of the origins of this ever popular carol. It was originally written by Joseph Mohr in 1816 and the music was added two years later in 1818.
