Comments:The origin of this work was a film of the BBC to introduce the symphonic orchestra to young people. The composer issued the score in two versions: with and without spoken commentary. This latter version has been selected to create this sequence.
Through a theme (divised in five sections), 13 variations and a final fugue this piece visits the main orchestra instruments and instrument families.
Apart from his didactic purpose, this file may be used to test the capabilities of a sound card to emulate a symphonic orchestra.
