About:http://www.naxos.com/composer/byrd.htm
Music category:Classical
Instruments:Harpsichord

e-mail address:calberga "at" bellatlantic "dot" net
Running time:00:01:58
Comments:This is a transcription from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book, entry CLVIII.
The notation is basically as given in the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book, with all its vagaries in the use of rests and time signatures. Certain items were changed, such as the use of tied whole notes (semi-breves) in place of double whole notes (breves).
Note that the visible staves are notated using NWC grace notes, which "steal" time from the following note. These are NOT the staves which are sounded. Those are written with the ornaments using time from the preceding notes. If you are using NoteWorthy Composer (as opposed to the Player or the browser plug-in) you can hear the difference. Unhide the hidden staves and mute them, while unmuting the non-hidden staves.
You must unmute all the non-hidden staves, which are currently layered.
