| Comments: | Elkutlu was the 'imam' of "Hisar" mosque in Ýzmir (hence "Hoca" Râkým Efendi). Having mastered music performance and composition -principally- from Tanbûrî Ali Efendi, one of the topmost composers of late XIX. century, he represented the "post clasical" style in its maturity and helped the style survive through the upcoming century. Numerous later composers and performers (Safiye Aylâ to name the most prominent one)worked with and was influenced by him. Simulated rhythmic accompaniment, little heterophonic emulation, yet less tempo variation applied. Requires Pergolesi font. Two alternative parts available for printout (see File Info).
