| Comments: | This music is intended for musicians at the intermediate school level or at the less experienced senior high school level. Donald L. Root was born in San Diego, CA and was raised in Corona, CA. During his years at Corona High School he played French horn and for two years was a member of the All Calfifornia High School Symphony Orchestra. He graduated from California State University at Fresno with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a major in music. There he studied French horn with Dr. James Winter, composition with Dr. Arthur Bryan and Form and Analysis with Dr.Patee Evenson. Mr. Root obtained his Master of Arts degree at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas where he studied composition with Dr. Otto Wick. Mr. Root has 35 years experience teaching instrumental and choral music which included time directing the Pre Flight School, USAF Drum and Bugle Corps and the Cadet Chorus at Lackland AFB, Texas.
