Composer:Spohr, Louis (1784-1859), German
Music category:Chamber music.
Instruments:2 violins, viola & 'cello.
Name of file creator:John H White

Running time:00:16:31
Comments:Spohr originally wrote this, his penultimate quartet, in G minor but, being dissatisfied with it, re-wrote it in its present form in Eb,down-grading the scherzo to a minuet and demoting it from No 2 to No 3 in the batting order. He was still not happy with either this or the following quartet, and they, together with his 10th Symphony, were never published in his life time.
