Comments:This tune was first published in Playford as "Mad Moll". A related tune "The Virgin Queen" appeared in a later edition of Playford. The third tune was published in the Northumbrian Minstrelsey of 1880 as "The Peacock followed the Hen" and is virtually identical to Mad Moll.
