Comments:I had a student who discovered that he wanted to play trombone but he was young and small. We found him a trombone to work with but discovered that at first he couldn't reach further than low G (eventually he barely got down to F). Writing exercises for him to do proved to be a mind-bender and you will notice that I didn't always get it right, though in general the exercises themselves did help him to get better and he nearly became a trombonist.
