| Comments: | Originally composed and arranged in 1989 for the West Virginia University Jazz Ensemble I as a Master Class Study in the style of Count Basie. Based on minor key version of "Rhythm Changes" (see the tune - I Got Rhythm) and minor blues changes with emphasis on harmonic minor scales instead of blues scales. Main theme is based on the "Snake Charmer Theme", but is really written in honor of the 1966 Shelby Cobra 427SC, my favorite sports car - fast, loud and powerful! Don't forget to check out the hidden staves, that's where all the action is! This is copyrighted and all rights are reserved. |
