Comments:The words of Die Forelle (The Trout) were written by Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart (NOT Schubert). Schubert took Schubart' poem and set it to music in 1817. Two years later, he used the tune as a base for the fourth movement (of five) of his Piano Quintet in A,('Trout Quintet', D667).
The English translation of the lyrics is by W.G.Rothery. (Apologies to those of you who dislike English illogical spellings).
