Music Database Search Information

The search engine on this site is specifically designed to search for music on this site.
It only searches information contained in accompanying information files submitted by the creators of the files.

It will not search for information contained in the main pages or in other documents linked to pages on this site.

The items searched are:
  • Composer's name
  • The title of the piece of music
  • The name of the person who created the NoteWorthy Composer music file
  • The musical instruments used
  • The music category
  • The first line of lyrics if given.
  • Comments.

    All words entered for searching will be treated as "and" . So if you enter "Requiem Tuba", only pieces that have the words Requiem and Tuba somewhere in the above categories will be returned. Try to keep your selection as simple as possible. Do not use the work "music" in your search. Eg "Cornish Folk" is far better than "Cornish Folk Music".
    Entering "Int" will search for any words beginning with Int - Intermezzo Introit Introduction Interlude - etc.

    Non-ascii characters are allowed. Entering "Fauré" will also return Faure. Entering "Faure" will also return Fauré.

    Only the Composer, the Title and the NWC file creator will be displayed in the search results. Clicking on the title will take you to the info page where you can find full details and a download link.
