Comments:The first movement, in conventional sonata form, was published on the scriptorium earlier in 2005 after which the composer took a break from this medium to concentrate on his Clarinet Quintet. The last two movements - a dreamy andante cantabile with a decided jazz influence and a tempestuous rondo of extreme technical difficulty, although containing a broody middle section - was completed several months later.
