Comments:Back in the 1780's, 4 composers used to get together to privately
perform each other's quartets. Haydn and Dittersdorf took 1st and 2nd violin
respectively, Mozart took the viola part whilst Vanhal played his 'cello.
How wonderful to have been a fly on the wall on these occasions! Vanhal,
like his friends Haydn and Dittersdorf, also wrote over 100 symphonies
amongst other things., (originally known as Jan Vanhal)
