Comments: | Opening themes of the first movement and finale had been buzzing around in my head for 20 or 30 years before I decided to make it my second project for my Open Colledge final year Composing Course. In the trio of the Landler I attempted to imitate donkey noises.I reckon that the weakest movement is the Romance which comes third and was written basically to separate the Landler from the succeeding Minuet. If you listen closely towards the end of the Finale, you may just hear the opening tune of the first movement in exact counterpoint with that of the Finale----more by luck than by judgment. |
