Full name of work:Symphonie No 5 Op 42, Allegro Cantabile Part 2
Composer:Widor, Charles-Marie (1844-1937), French
Music category:Classical
Instruments:Organ
Name of file creator:Smedley, Tony
e-mail address:htonysmedley “dot” at AOL “dot” com
Running time:00:09:42
Comments:The Toccata from Widor’s 5th symphony is very well known but the other four parts of the work are rarely performed.
Widor introduces a fourth staff at intervals where two upper manuals are being played; this is not easy to reproduce with NWC. The use of the fourth manual here is indicated by a superscript title - “Swell”, “Choir” etc but it is also used to ease notation elsewhere
