Opens with solo flugelhorn and euphonium in counterpoint. Melody is then picked up by the horns and subsequently the trombones and trumpets. At the last bar the flugel sustains by itself for a moment before the low brass arpegiattes the last chord. This figure is the toughest figure in the piece to get together. Music is from Schlesische Vokslieder, 1842
