Undoubtedly, in the summer of 1724, Bach must have had at his disposal a very skilled traverso player, since many cantatas from that period contain highly challenging flute parts. BWV 113 is one of them; here the obliggato flute welcomes the tenor solo with an incredible intrumental introduction.
