Multiple sources and authoritative editions were consulted, primarily Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis, Leipzig, 1950-1966. The fugue is properly performed in the French Overture style (Tovey) employing a slightly unsteady rhythm and double-dotting every long note that precedes a much shorter note.
Written ~1722, number 5 of 24 preludes & fugues in the Book I of WTC.
