Le Manège is French for merry-go-round, a title which it acquired when I was scratching my head for something suitable and was wandering past the ancient fairgroud ride outside the entrance to La Cité, the medeival heart of Carcassonne, my adopted home town. I listened to the sound of its mechanical organ music and mentally cried out "Eureka". It a single movement piece in waltz time and can be heard as a wma file at www.per-nefer.net/bob_music.htm.
