These pieces are the motifs for the Byzantine scenes of the play "Bir Gül Koþusu".
They consist of variations (each one is a variation) on the theme exposited at bar 31 of Prelude and continuous bass which is extracted from a 12 note scale formed using only the Tritonus, minor second amd major seventh. (The first note of the scale was used in Prelude and the others in three bell signals which -I think- don't have much to do with music; that's why they are excluded.)
