One of the highest points in western art was achieved with the composition of this piece. Beethoven is quoted as having said that "When I think of the Cavatina, it still brings a tear to my eye." These sentiments find their way onto the score, as the deaf composer's cavatina grants the listener directly access into the mind of one of history's most influential figures and perhaps music's greatest figure. This MIDI does not do justice to such an amazing piece of music, therefore everyone should take the time to hear the piece performed live, or at the very least hear an audio recording of the piece.
